About The Mission

A Local Outreach Ministry

The Mission began in 2011 as a weekly meal and meeting for those struggling with addictions or navigating recovery from drugs or alcohol. It slowly grew into a support group with a more broad focus, attempting to provide support for anyone facing a hardship in their life, whether that be in the form of various addictions, divorce, death of a loved one, anger or bitterness over past hurts, or any of life's other struggles. The weekly meetings are based on God's Word, and while the messages are crafted to apply to those who are actively seeking recovery, they are also applicable to anyone else who may walk through the door, no matter their position in life's journey or in their walk with Christ.

The focus of The Mission has always been to assist the folks in Sneedville and Hancock County in any way possible. This has been done through many different outreach projects throughout the years. Visit the Programs & Ministries page to learn more about all of the services currently provided or being planned at The Mission.

The primary goal of The Mission is to encourage those in the community to seek a more personal, eternal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only by Him that we are truly healed of our hurts or addictions, and it is only through Him that we come to the Father for eternal salvation.
